What Is The Motability Good Condition Bonus?

It pays to take good care of your Motability car. If you ordered your vehicle before 1 October 2022, at the end of your lease Motability could pay you £600 (or £900 for WAVs) if the car hasn't suffered any serious damage. When you hand your car back, the dealer will take photos and carry out a full appraisal of the vehicle. If Motability decide that the car qualifies for the Good Condition Bonus they'll pay the money straight into your bank account or send you a cheque in the post.

If you return the vehicle before the end of the agreed lease period (early termination) and it qualifies for the Good Condition Bonus, the Good Condition Bonus amount is paid pro-rata (so the amount of money you get back is linked to the number of years you've had the vehicle).

Keeping your car in a good condition makes it easier for Motability to sell it after you've handed it back to them.
