Is There An Age Limit For Motability?

If you already receive one of the qualifying allowances when you turn 66, you should qualify.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) currently has an upper age limit of 65 (or the equalised State Pension Age for men and women) for anyone applying for one of the Motability qualifying disability-related benefits for the first time.

So, if you are already in receipt of one of the qualifying Mobility Allowances when you reach 66, you can continue to lease (or apply for) a Motability vehicle.

Unfortunately, the Attendance Allowance cannot be used to order a vehicle through the Motability Scheme.
