Motability have announced another 'insurance-based' refund for all car and Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle customers who joined the Motability Scheme before 4 January 2021. Just like last year, the refund is worth £50 and customers will be paid via their new Motability Scheme online account or sent a cheque through the post.
Thanks to another reduction in the overall number of motor insurance claims because of the recent UK-wide COVID-19 lockdowns, Motability have told customers that they are able to issue a refund worth £50 for the second time in 12 months.
Customers who have already set up a Motability Scheme online account will receive their £50 payment directly into their bank account (as long as bank account details have been added) from 15 June 2021.
Motability expect to start sending out cheques in the post to customers who have not set up an online account from 21 June 2021.
