Circus Starr, a unique social enterprise that brings the joy of the circus to numerous disadvantaged, disabled and vulnerable children annually, is rejoicing in the momentous milestone of receiving a generous donation totalling £100,000. This incredible contribution was made possible by the unwavering support of Swansway Motor Group and their Motability Scheme customers.
The family-owned car dealer group have been a supporter of Circus Starr since 2016, donating £25 for each car they register through the Motability Scheme. £25 covers the cost of one child and their parent or care giver to attend a Circus Starr performance.
Swansway Motor Group have successfully raised £100,000 by leasing over 5,000 Motability Scheme vehicles since 2016. This marks the first occasion that an organisation supporting Circus Starr has reached such a significant milestone in donations.
Both parties commemorated this achievement together during a Circus Starr show held at the Swansway Stadium, with attendees from Swansway Head Office, including Swansway Motor Group Director David Smyth.

The Motability Scheme helps people with a disability and carers to lease a new car, scooter or powered wheelchair if they are in receipt of a higher rate Mobility Allowance (such as the Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment or the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance).
Swansway Group represent 8 car manufacturers from over 15 car dealerships in the Midlands, the North East of England and North Wales, the majority of which are accredited retailers of Motability Scheme cars.
