At just £100, these brand new wheelchairs - the Van os Medical Excel G Logic and Karma Ergo Lite 2 - are great value for money, easy to manoeuvre and, because they can be folded down, should fit into the boot of most Motability vehicles.
Both of these wheelchair models are compact, light and perfect for everyday use. Lightweight wheelchairs are great for taking on holiday, on brief trips out and about as well as for moving around inside the home.
There are two different models to choose from, and the wheelchair user can specify the frame size at the car dealership. Both models can be set up to be self-propelled (if you wish to travel independently) or assistant-propelled (if you need someone to push your wheelchair). Plus, just like all the cars and Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs) offered through the Motability Scheme, the wheelchair is covered for any maintenance issues that may arise during the lease. So, if there are any faults that need fixing, Motability will take care of it.

There’s a £100 upfront payment required to lease one of these wheelchairs. At the end of the Motability lease agreement you simply return the wheelchair to the dealership along with the car.
