I’ve Heard The Motability Scheme Is ‘All-Inclusive’. What's Included?

The Motability Scheme helps disabled people in the UK to use their government-funded Mobility Allowance to drive a brand new vehicle, helping over 3 million people since its roll out in the 1970s.

Motability’s all-inclusive car package includes:

  • Comprehensive insurance for up to 3 named drivers
  • All servicing and maintenance (as recommended by the manufacturer)
  • Complete RAC breakdown cover
  • Tyre repairs and replacement from Kwik Fit
  • Windscreen and window repair and replacement cover
  • MOT test cover
  • Annual road tax (Motability Scheme cars are Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) exempt)
  • A 60,000 mileage allowance over the 3 year period
  • Many adaptations at no extra cost
  • A home electric charge point for electric vehicles

If you have a Motability Scheme Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV), the standard lease period is 5 years (2 years more than a car lease), with the option to extend under certain circumstances.
